Afflictions That Affect Bloggers!

As previously blogged here, Tina and I have posted some 'reviews' in the eBay Reviews and Guides Section off and on for several months.

So this week I've been reading books on the history of blogging and what additional purposes it can be used for as both Tina and I expand the scope of our operations on my 10th Anniversary on the Web!

The book 'Blogging For Dummies' had some really interesting blog terms that may or may not be known to you.

Here are a few afflictions that I thought would make good reading in this blog post:

Blogathy - "occurs when you become apathetic about posting in your blog. One always hopes that blogathy is temporary".

Blogorrhea - "not to be gross, but blogorrhea is too much insubstantial blogging".

Blogstipation - "is writer's block for bloggers. The condition might be due to a lack of inspiration, as with traditional writer's block, or it might result from exhaustion after blooging too much".

Hitnosis - "the sad condition of obsessively monitoring one's traffic logs is called hitnosis".

The above was some of the funniest parts in this 'Blogging For Dummies' book! I definitely have suffered from 'Hitnosis' on an occasion or two!

There were also other non-humourous terms such as:

Slashdotted - 'in an effect to an instalanche, a citation form the influential site Slashdot that sends so much traffic to the cited blog that its server can become disabled'.

I will be posting a full review this week after trying out several of the suggestions inside...
