So Who's

'Hot'

 In Our Archived Blog Posts

Right Now?

None Other Than...

Desperate Housewives!

From Our  Archived Blog Post Of May 22nd, 2007!

The Season Finale!

Regular Readers of our Blog know that I check our Blog Stats at least daily!

Currently our blog post about the 'Desperate Housewives Season Finale' from May 22nd 2007 is in our Top 10 Most Viewed!

And why is it 'Hot' right now?

Because those bloggers are probably looking for 2008's Season Finale!  OOOPs!

Sorry about that bloggers!

Because of the WGA Strike earlier this year that affected our viewing habits, Tina and I stopped blogging about several shows, including Desperate Housewives!

However we did watch the return of this show and the Season Finale. However, we didn't blog about it...

With my own personal 10th Anniversary on the Web, we are re-constructing what endeavors including blogging that we want to do in the upcoming months.

This blog you are reading started off as a blog using the eBay Blog format. However eBay is once again making a change to the format, effective this upcoming July 2008.

So we are re-thinking the scope and format of this blog and its' sister blog that is in a different format elsewhere.

Tina and I are pleased to say that this blog is averaging over 1,100 visitors a day right now, and that this Blog, (both versions), has had over 150 new RSS subscribers so far this week!

Welcome aboard to all those new readers! We're glad you found us and want to read more in the days ahead from us! And 'Sorry about that Chief' to those bloggers looking for 'Our Take' on the 2008 Season Finale For Desperate Housewives!

For those new to us... we have an ongoing Pop Culture Convention - Comic Con here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale! Come back anytime!

Up All Night! No... Not Rhonda Shear... David Cook!

Up All Night!

  No, Not Rhonda Shear...

 David Cook!

American Idol  Winner!

The American Idol Finale Show was a long one last night... ran overtime as usual for this show which may have affected some viewers' sleep habits...

But at least one party to the Finale stayed 'Up All Night', and that was this year's American Idol Winner, David Cook!

When Ruben Galvan interviewed him this morning at 6:45 am PST on our local Fox TV Station here in North County San Diego, California, David mentioned that he been up all night, as could be seen by his wearing the same clothes he had on at the end of the Finale!

Besides other topics that Ruben and David covered, like how was it playing with ZZ Top, etc., he was asked to say something to his San Diego fans... so he said "I Love Carly", which of course would please a lot of locals here in our area!

Sometimes these little local segments have entertaining pieces that don't make it to the rest of the general public, like when Ruben interviewed Carly the morning after she was 'sent home', which physically didn't happen for a few days after the show!

Also, it appears that these on location newsfolk don't always have a cut throat competition going on, as evidenced by Ruben's including Fox13's newsperson 'Bhudda' in a few of his on air segments. Gotta find out what 'Bhudda's real name is!

Well, that's it for now on American Idol blogging for me this morning.... Gotta get back to listing items!

We have an ongoing Comic Con and Pop Culture convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

Thanks for reading our Pop Culture - comics - comic book blog post today and join us again won't you?!

Pictured Above: Promo pic for Ruben Galvan, who has interviewed so many of the Top 24 for the local San Diego Fox TV Station. Including David Cook, David Archuleta, Carly Smithson and oh so many more! Hadn't seen Paula Abdul or Simon Cowell on his segments yet, but it appears that several of the American Idol sements are archvied so I'll to check out the ones I missed!
Unfortunately the HTML embed code for the videos of Ruben interviewing David Cook today are not allowed on eBay's Blogging format so we are just presenting the above pic featuring Ruben Galvan at this time...

We do want to thank Ruben for the fun segments he's done on the 'American Idol'  TV Show that we were able to watch 'live', and to Fox6 dot com for archiving several that we haven't viewed yet!

Thanks for reading this blog post, and all of the others you may have read during this loooong Season 7!  Michael's comments On the Season Finale Results Show have already been blogged in Part 1  and Tina's comments in Part 2 of 'Our Take'!

 American Idol

Finale Results

 Our Take 05-21-08

Part 2 - Tina's Take

The American Idol Finale Show was a long one... ran overtime as usual for this show lately...

There were so many scenes or segments on this American Idol Finale, that Michael and Tina are blogging their comments separately today:

Michael was first... now it's Tina's comments.

97.5 Million Votes - "Whoa! That was ME Honey!" (Saying this to Michael.)

'Get Ready' - the Top 12 intro song - "This is sooo dumb".

'Hero' duet - obviously DC is killing DA on this song!

The Love Guru special preview - "They had to watch this??!!"

'Deep Purple' song scene for 'Sitar Hero' - "That's Funny!"

Syesha's duet with Seal - "She gets to do a duet that's pretty good!"

Re: Jason Castro - "They shouldn't let him sing anything else!"

Seacrest during his stomp your feet to Donna's song - "He thinks he's so funny...."

Syesha - "Looks like a real pro tonight!"

Carly and Michael - "Would have been better with Amanda and Michael!"

ZZ Top - "Can you imagine how old they are now?!!"

Graham Nash and Brooke White - How did she get to sing this with him? Isn't he nervous she'll forget her lines again?

DC on his Guitar Hero commercial - No wonder he didn't have time to concentrate on the Finale... Working on a commercial!

Renaldo Lapuz - OMG a marching band! You gotta love the guy!

Gladys and 'the Pips' - Jack is the biggest ham! (and multiple more comments, but Michael the blog post transcriber was laughing too hard at her comments to write them down!)

DA in his Guitar Hero commercial - "That's Stupid! No comparison!" (To DC's). "He even had boxers on!"

George Michael Melody that the Top 12 sang - I"t's kinda cool..."

Then on George himself - "I thought he was really good. They showcased him very well."

(Note - George is starting his 1st American Tour in 17 years soon, starting in San Diego.)

After The Results are made known:

"I predict nothing will come of DA, unless it's years from now."

After DC is announced and they run some scenes - "Great Story! Brought to Idol by his brother". And "Look at his brother... Crying too!"

(continued top of next column....)

Pictured Above: David Cook, Paula Abdul and David Archuleta on the Red Carpet Last Night!

(...continued from bottom of first column)

As the judges stand up and applaud - "Simon was clapping really hard... notice that?!"

As the show final song winds down... "Very different from last year's Jordin Sparks ending performance!"

And for Tina's final comment on the 'American Idol'  Finale and David Cook taking the 'Title'..... "YEAH!!!"

Thanks for reading this blog post, and all of the others you may have read during this loooong Season 7!  Michael's comments have already been blogged in Part 1 !

 American Idol

 Finale Results

 Our Take 05-21-08

Part 1 -Michael's Take

The American Idol  Finale Show was a long run... ran overtime as usual for this show lately...

There were so many scenes or segments on this American Idol Finale, that Michael and Tina are blogging their comments separately today:

Michael first...

The percentage of the scoring 56% to 44% was the vote tally - Ryan had to say that early didn't he? Either to suggest the 'favorite' had won... or to build up suspense! So there's no margin for error on the results... no recount...

Re: The Love Guru promo commerical - bad taste IMHO, almost as bad as Macy's Parade has become...

Ryan's intro of Jason Castro - Oh no Not JC solo!

Song 'She Works Hard...' Hey I miss Amanda and Carly performing!

Seacrest during the stomping song by Donna.... Alright Ryan!

Syesha and Donna Summer on Last Dance duet segment - Syesha held her own... She'll do good!

Carly and Michael Johns duet - Wow she Looks Hot!

Kimmel on Simon's year long comments that were set to music video - Funnnny!

'Sharp Dressed Man' - DC with ZZ Top - Why didn't DC sing THAT song last night?!!

DC in Guitar Hero commercial - WoW! Great Take Off!

Renaldo Lapuz with USC Marching Band - There's his 5 minutes of fame (again!) but I like him!

'Unseen Footage' of Gladys Knight and the 'Pips' tryouts... Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr - I liked this segment, not as much as Tina who just kept commenting about Jack and Robert's antics during the whole video, but I liked it!

Carrie Underwood's performance - WoW! Darn Good! However the lower level cameraman could have been more discreet in filming for a family show!

DA's Guitar Hero commercial - You gotta be kidding!

Top 12 Final Performance for Season 7 on the George Michael melody... Ok, but George's solo made me sleepy... and just before the results were given!

Just before the American Idol Results: Ryan asked the judges one more time of their thoughts. Randy had toned down his over exuberance for DA a bit. Paula said her usual nice things about both and actually came over better tonight in doing so. And then Simon apologized to DC for calling the show's results before voting started, after reviewing the previous night's tape. Did he have an inkling of what the results would be tonight...?

The Results...by 12 million votes, it's David Cook! Looks like the 'Curse of Simon' struck again for DA!

(continued top of next column....)

Click here to see our currently listed book, comics and magazines Listings!

Pictured Above: David Cook, Paula Abdul and David Archuleta on the Red Carpet Last Night!

(...continued from bottom of first column)

So it's DC' night after all!  Allright!!!

Looks like Simon covered his bases just in time for the shocking finale results...

Ending song by DC was 'Time Of My Life', which in his case was appropo!

I'm glad he won the 'American Idol'  Title and the ending song and his actions of bringing in 'Archie' as he calls DA and the others to share in the final moments was Alright in My Book!

Thanks for reading this blog post, and all of the others you may have read during this loooong Season 7!  Tina's comments coming up in Part 2 !
