So Who's

'Hot'

 In Our Archived Blog Posts

Right Now?

None Other Than...

'Catwoman'

From Our March 11th 2007 Archived Blog Post!

Regular Readers of our Blog know that I check our Blog Stats at least daily!

Currently our blog post on 'Catwoman' as portrayed by Halle Berry and Julie Newmar from our March 11th 2007 archived blog post turns out to be 'Hot' right now!

That's because right now this archived blog post is reaching 16% of our current blog viewership!

I don't know why that blog post would be hot right now... as so far this week it's been our Indiana Jones posts and Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury from the Iron Man  Film in the top tier of most viewed archived blog posts! I'll have to find out why this 14 month blog post is suddenly  'Hot'  and bring the reason why here to our Blog later!

BTW, what is pleasing to us right now... is that our Blog, (both versions), has had 25 new RSS subscribers in the last 24 hours! Welcome aboard to all those new readers! We're glad you found us and want to read more in the days ahead!

For those new to us... we have an ongoing pop culture - Comic Con here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale! Come back anytime!

She Won't Be Back As A Regular Cast Member...

She Won't Be Back As A Regular Cast Member...

It has already been announced that Smallville's Season 8 will start without Lex Luthor as he's buried in the rubble of the Fortress Of Solitude...

And Now... Supergirl will be gone as a regular cast member as she is stuck in the 'Phantom Zone'!

Were you surprised to see that Laura Vandervoort's name was omitted from the Smallville cast announcement for Season 8 at the CW Upfronts?

Well... you probably weren’t the only one!

Laura Vandervoort  herself was "surprised when they chose not to bring me back as a regular, but I’m sure I’ll be back for one or two (episodes)".

Many Smallville fans hoped that Kara / Supergirl could be spun off for her own show, but the WGA Strike earlier this year has really thrown Hollywood for a loss, both financialy and creatively.

Don't worry about Laura tho, as she is currently in Hawaii as the upcoming film "Into The Blue 2" is in production. For those that don't know, this would be the follow up sequel to the earlier Jessica Alba film.

Here at Make It So Marketing's Blog... I just don't understand why the producers of the show didn't keep her in the Smallville TV Series!

Our archived blog posts on Laura (Supergirl) Vandervoort are usually in the Top 25 most viewed archived posts every day... there is THAT much interest in her by bloggers!

For those of you new to us, we also have an ongoing pop culture - comics convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!

Thanks for reading this popular culture - comics - comic books blog post and please visit our blog again!

Laura Vandervoort played Kara / Supergirl on the Smallville CW TV Show as a regular cast member on the 7th Season of Smallville.

Who Will Be Your Next American Idol ?
Mood:  quizzical
Topic: TV Shows

 Who Will Be Your Next

  American Idol?

We know his name will be David…

I know who I WANT to win.  But, like the Oscars, Super Bowls, and political elections, sometimes who you want isn’t the same as who you think will win.

I WANT David Cook to win, but I’m a little afraid to dream that the next American Idol would actually be someone whose CD I’d buy!

I LOVE David Cook – his style, arrangements – and hey – he’s got a great voice.  He’s been the most original, and the most consistent, performer all season.  He’s had the biggest “Idol” moments. (Remember: “Hello,” “Billie Jean,” and “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.”

Unfortunately, I THINK David Archuleta just might be the winner.  He fits much better into the American Idol pop cookie-cutter.  And he’s got the lock on the core American Idol fan base.  I guess I have to face it, David Cook isn’t what we’re hearing on the radio today.  It’s pop, not creative rock.

I’m holding out some hope though.  I did another unofficial beauty parlor survey after last week’s elimination, and could only locate ONE David Archuleta fan.  In fact, she was the only Archuleta fan I’ve encountered all season!

Here’s hoping Idol is COOK-ed!

Let us know who you think it will be, and who you want.

We are looking forward to this week's show and hoping that the American Idol Judges don't 'skew' the voting. We want to thank Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest for a pretty good season thus far!

Shipping Charges are NOT Going Up!

Shipping Charges

 Are NOT Going Up!

The below is our Newsletter that is on its' way to our eBay Newsletter Subscribers:

News Flash:

“Despite recent US postage hikes and rising fuel costs, Make It So Marketing announces that they will NOT increase their Flat Rate Shipping charge for Comic Books shipped to USA addresses.”

Dear Reader,

In today’s economic climate, it is big news when a company decides NOT to raise its rates!

Even though the United States Postal Service raised postage rates on May 12, 2008, we decided to hold the line on our Flat Rate Shipping charge.

The majority of our customers’ purchases, namely comic books ('raw' / 'unslabbed' comics) being shipped to USA addresses, are covered by our Flat Rate Shipping charge of only $4.99 -- no matter the quantity of comics ordered.

Rest assured, we’re not skimping on packaging.  Your comic book purchase, (of 1 - 3 comics), will continue to be expertly packaged in a bag and board, then wrapped in a folder secured with a cardboard sheet and inserted in a bubble wrap envelope.

An order of 1-3 comic books with packaging usually weighs a little less than 13 ounces and is shipped via USPS First Class mail with delivery confirmation.  When you order 4 or more comics, your order is shipped via USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail Envelope with delivery confirmation.  FYI, the USPS raised their Flat Rate Priority Mail fee to $4.80, so with the delivery confirmation, we’re actually losing money on this.

We will COMBINE shipping for mixed items (magazines / comics / books / promo items) whenever possible to save you money on combined shipping charges, but these items are NOT part of our 'unlimited shipping flat rate fee' when comics are mixed with other type of items, due to the weight and odd sizes of the items!

For our International customers, please read complete details on International Shipments at our blog post:

We appreciate your patronage and we will continue to do our best to keep costs reasonable and fair for you.

Have Fun with Jack Bauer and 24 Until Next Season!

Have Fun with

 Jack Bauer

and

 “24

 Until Next Season!

Jack Bauer and “24 were one of the major casualties of the recent writers’ strike.  Like most fans, I could hardly wait until January for a new day.  But the strike knocked the new season of the wildly popular show to January 2009!  Yikes – what’s a citizen to do?

Play the 24 Card Game!

Yes, you too can be a CTU agent hot on the trail of a ruthless terrorist!  Or, you might even BE the terrorist – it’s all in the luck of the draw in this exciting game.  It feels just like the show – as the CTU agent you collect and use “Technology” cards like “Gear,” “Science,” and “Intel” to defeat the terrorist.  You’ll feel like you’re Chloe, or Bill Buchanan.

Ironically, the card game is “Made in China.”  I wonder how Jack Bauer  feels about that!

We have an ongoing Comic Con and Pop Culture Convention here at Make It So Marketing, what with our daily blog posts and listings of items for sale!
